Lacey & Larkin Frontera Fund – Supporting Civil, Human, and Migrant Rights Associations in the United States

Many different parts of the world are going through dire humanitarian crisis currently, particularly in the middle east, where the dictatorship government regimes, as well as the terrorists’ organizations, are disrespecting human rights on unprecedented levels. There are millions of people who have lost their lives, and a million others have lost all that they lived for, including their families, homes, money, and everything one can think of. However, thanks to the human rights organizations, people can revive their life and at least get the basic amenities they can ask for to survive such an epidemic level humanitarian crisis.

There are many civil rights and human rights organizations that are working day and night to protect the people under their watch and protest any and all atrocities they can note.

Some of the top human rights organizations active in the United States and many different parts of the world includes Protection International, Amnesty International, Human Rights Watch, International Federation for Human Rights, UN Watch, Global Rights, World Organization Against Torture, Human Rights First, Human Rights Foundation, and more.

These organizations are active in different parts of the world to ensure that the rights of the people are not snatched or abused and that there is support available for people who have been victims of human rights violations. These organizations also work closely with the governments to provide justice to the victims, reduce the human rights crimes, and bring the culprits to justice.

One of the top two names in the field of human rights in the United States is Jim Larkin and Michael Lacey.

Recently, they were arrested wrongfully by the Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio. They are the co-founders of Village Voice Media and Phoenix New Times. Michael Lacey and Jim Larkin were arrested at the dead of night without sufficient evidence to back the arrest.

The court later gave them the clean chit in the case, and the state had to give them $3.75 million as a settlement amount, which they completely dedicated to supporting different migrant rights organizations across the country.

They started a fund with the settlement amount they got and is now known as Lacey and Larkin Frontera Fund. The fund aims to encourage organizations that are fighting against civil and human rights atrocities taking place in the country, and create wide scale awareness about it for a better tomorrow.
